About us

The association

Who we are

AEICF was established in response to disputes and scientific applications arising from digital imaging, with the aim of bringing together professionals capable of offering highly specialized image capture, processing, and analysis services.

AEICF is a professional community that brings together specialists in scientific and forensic imaging: researchers, expert witnesses, educators, technical photographers, and forensic police officers committed to the rigorous use of images as tools for knowledge and evidence.

Since 2017, we have worked to promote research, training, and best practices in image capture, analysis, and validation in both scientific and judicial settings.

We champion imaging that is technically accurate, ethically responsible, and legally valid.

The people who make up AEICF

Our members

AEICF comprises a group of highly qualified experts offering a comprehensive range of professional services. Together with our partner organizations, they work in scientific imaging and graphic arts.

In addition to the experience and expertise of its members, AEICF has an extensive documentary archive and state-of-the-art scientific equipment capable of resolving any problem related to scientific imaging and its application to criminalistics, questioned document examination, art and biology. Our goal is the scientific investigation of images for academic and forensic purposes, supporting the judiciary and legal profession as well as press agencies, competitions and private individuals. We also provide education and promote public understanding through courses and publications.
